Gioielli in Fermento is an international exhibition project and award for contemporary studio jewellery.
Starting from the landscapes of Italy in the wine-making region of Emilia hills, enjoying positive and inspiring environments, it opens its borders involving established and emerging artists from different countries to express their relation with this particular context. Contemporary jewellery here may be seen as a “fermenting” creative process: the challenge is to turn natural and available elements into something precious and unique.
A special attention is paid to the students section, involving institutes for art education and design, based all over the world.
Since 2011, more than 600 artists and pieces has been presented under the selection of an international board of advisors in the field. The announcement of the contest deadline is by the first two months of the year for each edition.
The resulting exhibition is hosted in the impressive local spaces of our territory, currently at Villa Braghieri, a building of cultural heritage in the City of Castel San Giovanni (Piacenza, Italy).
The opening of exhibition celebrates the Gioielli in Fermento Award ceremony in collaboration with important international institutions in the field: Agc Italian association for contemporary jewellery, Joya Barcelona Art Jewellery & Object and Klimt02 Art Jewellery online network.
Every year, the Master Collection is hosted in further exhibiting venues through the Gioielli in Fermento #gallery activity (recently in Padova, Livorno, Milano in Italy in addition to Paris, Barcelona, Riga, New York, Sofa Chicago).

The Gioielli in Fermento 2019 Awarded artist Yasuko Kanno is exhibiting her own collection with GiF#gallery, thanks to the collaboration with JOYA Art Jewellery & Objects and with the support of Allied Group, a multinational company with its heart based in Val Tidone.
